Erie County Fair at Wattsburg Queen, Jr. Miss, Princess, Jr. Princess, & Tiny Princess Contest

Welcome Contestants!

We are pleased to announce this year’s competition will soon be underway! We would like to, not only invite back the previous competitors, but also welcome new smiling faces to this year’s Erie County Fair at Wattsburg Queen, Jr. Miss, Princess, Jr. Princess, & Tiny Princess Contest!

Please find enclosed within this application information and rules that you need to go over with your parent/guardian. Please have them consent and complete where indicated in the Erie County Fair at Wattsburg Contestant Application. By consenting, you and your parent/guardian agree to the rules and regulations set forth. You must complete the application via the fair website wattsburgfair.com by Saturday, August 9th, 2025. There will be a meeting on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at 1:30 PM for all contestants and their parent or guardian. This meeting will be held at the Erie County Fair at Wattsburg Fairgrounds, Rt. 8 and 89 Wattsburg, PA in the queens building. This is the garage structure as you first come into the main gates. At this meeting we will be going over information/rules of the Erie County Fair at Wattsburg Queen, Jr. Miss, Princess, Jr. Princess, & Tiny Princess Contest.

Queen contestants, you are required to write an essay on the topic: "What My Fair Means To My Community" 300 words or less. Essays are to be typed! No names are to appear on the paper. At the top of the paper, type Queen. Please include total word count on the top right of the page. Word count does not include the title. Essays are judged on content, grammar, and spelling. All essays are due on or before the meeting on August 10, 2025. Please email them to fairpageantcoordinator@gmail.com. There will be no essay requirement for Jr. Miss, Princess, Jr. Princess, or Tiny Princess contestants.

The Erie County Fair at Wattsburg Queen, Jr, Miss, Princess, Jr. Princess, & Tiny Princess Contest is FREE to enter! All contestants will receive a fair button which allows free admission into the fair (rides not included) all week!

Be prepared to have your picture taken the day of the first meeting, Sunday, August 10, 2025. Your picture will be displayed in the queen building during fair week.

There will be one rehearsal scheduled for Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM. We will meet at the Main Grandstands. This topic will also be discussed at the first meeting.

This year’s fair theme is PA Fairs Cultivating The Future Generations.

The Erie County Fair at Wattsburg Queen, Jr. Miss, Princess, Jr. Princess, & Tiny Princess Contest will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM. This year the contest will be held one week prior to the start of the 2025 Fair.

Queen Contestants will have a speech presentation on “Why You Should Come To My Fair”. This is a 3-5 minute timed event that will be presented on stage at the contest on Sunday, August 17, 2025.

Personal Interview- Each contestant (Princess, Jr. Miss & Queen) will meet on the day of the contest with a panel of judges.

On Stage Introduction- Each contestant (Princess, Jr. Miss & Queen) will introduce themselves on stage the day of the contest.

On Stage Question- Each contestant (Tiny Princess, Jr. Princess, Princess, Jr. Miss & Queen) will be asked an on stage question the day of the contest.

In the event of an emergency, if the parents/guardian cannot be contacted immediately, I give my permission to have my child taken to the doctor and/or hospital for medical attention. I understand that I will assume responsibility and expenses in such a case. I will not hold the Erie County Fair at Wattsburg Fairgrounds or the contest coordinators responsible in the event of an emergency.
